Every day I wake up.
Okay, every day we all wake up. At least the ones with beating hearts. Photography is what keeps me alive. It's what keeps me moving. That & coffee. Almost all of my photoshoots I conduct at sunrise or right after. I love the color blue. I love the way morning feels. & quite honestly when I'm done with my shoot and cars are just starting to enter into Los Angeles streets, I think 'wow. I've already accomplished so much today!'
My friend Bronwyn once told me I'm probably the only person she knows who complains when the time falls back an hour. I can't stand it. Those few months are probably the time when I take the least amount of photos for my series. It's when I focus on other things. The sun comes up at 7:15am and quite honestly by then who isn't already at work or even at school by then?! For my fine art, I don't include people and even for my other work, it's all about as little distractions as possible in the background. Of course I could spend hours editing the bystanders but I've never been the type of person to want to fix something in post that I could fix in person.
So here I am. My coffee in hand. Medium roast with a little caramel. Tiffany & Co ring that my brother gave me for christmas that has to be my favorite accessory from now on. & lets not forget the coolest coffee mug ever. Thanks mom. You completed my look for the day with that gold mug ;)
